    Unable to add users - Email Domain is Pending Ownership

    Problem

    Error "Unable to add user as email domain is pending ownership by your organization" while registering the user in User Management.

    Explanation

    Accounts have the ability to claim domains. This is done so new users will be properly associated with their account when they self-register (as opposed to being added to an account by an administrator) on the Bentley website.

    NOTE:

    Generic domains cannot be claimed (@aol.com, @gmail.com , etc.).

    As part of the domain claiming process, the administrator is sent an email they have to respond to in order to complete the process. The message is the result of the administrator not responding to the email, to complete the process.

    Solution

    The administrator must either respond to the email to complete the domain claiming process, or go back into User Management and un-claim the domain before any users can be added to the account.
