    Failsafe Mode

    Starting with CONNECTION Client 11.00.05.34, Bentley has implemented a License Service FailSafe mode.

    In case Bentley experiences extended, system-wide failure with Subscription Entitlement Service licensing services, or any of its supporting services such as IMS, which would result in downtime for our users, Bentley will enable License Service FailSafe  mode.

    When failsafe mode is enabled, all clients will respond by allowing users access to their products regardless of entitlement status. Usage will be recorded with a special status that will allow us to exclude this usage from peak usage calculations.

    Users will get the following dialog via CONNECTION Client when Failsafe mode has been enabled -

    Note: License Service Fail-Safe mode is for failures of Bentley technology used for licensing, and not applicable to failures experienced by an individual account
