Several times in the last week our users have been getting erroneous overage reports while trying to enter Bentley Products, getting this message:
It then takes a very long time to get into the program, or gets into a loop preventing all access. We have 16 available licenses and only 6 people in the office this morning, so this message is a lie.
Furthermore, when trying to open the Connect License Usage Report from the Enterprise Portal/Product Usage Menu, no report is available.
if Bentley is going to force this terrible licensing system upon everybody, it is incumbent upon them that it actually functions and does not prevent productivity.

This is not an overage message, it is a warning that you may run into an overage as the Usage Alerting Service is having an issue. We are continuing to work on addressing the issue. A new push is being done this morning. I will post an update once that is done.

Thanks for the update. It's extremely frustrating to have to wait ~2 minutes after opening a model for the pop up to come up, 2 minutes after clicking acknowledge to being able to click to open a module, only to have to wait 2 more minutes for another pop up then 2 more minutes to be able to use the module
I understand the frustration as I would be as well. It is certainly now how we want this to work. We are working to correct this as soon as possible.
We have been able to complete our push. This issue should be resolved. Please let me know if this is still an issue.

I see the short-term solution is working. The Connection Client / Licensing software should also be updated to allow for this situation to occur without a massive impact on the users. At the bare minimum, after timing out the first time opening Microstation, the Licensing software should allow you to open for at least four hours before forcing you to wait for the non-response server.
