How does one turn off the CONNECTION Client at startup (and pervasive notices after)? I am an instructor in a University setting and do not use the software in my classes, but it is installed on a number of our machines in lab. I'm quite tired of the intrusive window continually popping up. X-ing out only lasts a few minutes before it reappears. Students are facing this as well on all the machines in lab. The answer cannot be that they have to create an account to login simply to get this to stop appearing (I had to create an account just to be able to post here, and I'm not thrilled about that either). My department IT person said he has looked into this as well, and can't figure out how to suppress this globally on all our machines.
Hi,
Welcome to the world of the Connection Client. Bentley has not considered the people who use Bentley products occasionally on a machine.
The real answer is that Bentley needs to re-evaluate this and change their software.

Yea, they sure do. Solution should be to have individual Windows user accounts. 1 for CAD, another for Other. Logged into Other I modified the Windows start-up settings to not run CC. Worked for a while, but I just checked, it's back trying to run again. Untested buggy software.
