Architecture A 103: Creating Architectural Drawings and Schedules


This video series contains instructions for getting started with Bentley's BIM solution, OpenBuildings Designer.

You will learn how to create a drawing composition model and then create a floor plan and a building section of a small commercial building.

In addition, you will learn how to create a Finish Schedule for the same building.

Part 1 - Creating a Floor Plan

Part 2 - Creating Elevation Drawings

In this video we will use the elevation callout to create two elevation views and drawings and place both on the same sheet using the elevation callout.

Part 3 - Creating Section Drawings

In this video we will use the section callout to create a section view and drawings and then place it on a sheet.

Part 4 - Creating Detail Drawings

In this video we will use the detail callout to create a wall section from the section drawing.

Part 5 - Creating a Room Finish Schedule

In this video we will create a room finish schedule for the project and place it on the Floor Plan sheet.

Part 6 - Updating the Schedule

In this video we will add data to objects through the schedules dialog and update the schedule on the sheet.
