AreaAnnotator™

AreaAnnotator™ is a helper utility developed by LA Solutions.
It assists with area measurement and annotation.

AreaAnnotator works with MicroStation tag elements.
When you tag a measurable area element, such as a shape, complex shape or ellipse,
AreaAnnotator automatically measures its area and updates the relevant tag.

What's more, when you modify that shape, AreaAnnotator notices the change and re-measures the shape's area, then updates the tag to show the new measurement.

You can specify the appearance of measurements.
For example, you may want to see the area of a room expressed in square feet rather than square inches,
or in square metres rather than square millimetres — AreaAnnotator can perform that conversion for you automatically.

AreaAnnotator is available for various versions of MicroStation, from V8.1 to V8i.
AreaAnnotator continues to be developed by its originators,
LA Solutions.
It is provided free (or, legally speaking, LA Solutions grants you a zero-cost license to use AreaAnnotator),
with no restrictions on its use.

For more information, browse the LA Solutions website.

FlexiTable™

If you are interested in reporting areas and other measurements, then take a look at
FlexiTable™.
FlexiTable is a data acquisition tool and schedule generator for MicroStation.
It lets you acquire information from various MicroStation sources — including area measurements and tag data —
that it displays in a worksheet.
You can save the worksheet in Excel format.

In other words, FlexiTable provides a quick way to get information out of your DGN model.
It lets you place a graphic schedule from a worksheet in your DGN model.

FlexiTable is a licensed product. The FlexiTable license cost is modest, but it's not free.
