EDI sticking while running plots can be caused by a dialog box being opened when it tries to open MicroStation. To diagnose if this is what is causing the problem, first you must try to open MicroStation on its own with EDIPLT as the User in the MicroStation Manager dialog.
If there are any dialog boxes or problems opening MicroStation like this then those will block EDI from finishing the plots and must be resolved for EDI to work properly. When opened in this manner (with EDIPLT as the User) MicroStation must open without having issues that require user intervention.
