Exporting a chain corrupting gpk file

I am able to export the chain, and it appears to have been stored. "Describe Horizontal Geometry" works and I am able to see the information associated with the chain. I can also see a "baseline" option has been added to what I can import. However, it doesn't seem that any of the information was stored with it. I can see it in COGO, but I am unable to describe it or delete it to try again. My program crashes every time I attempt to even click on the stored chain.  Any ideas what is causing this?
