LDM "Input string was not in a correct format."

This error message appeared recently for more than one user and I wanted to share what I found with the community.

The error message appears to be the result of including a period in text that was referenced in the Design Notes column.  In this case, the text (including the period) was referenced into the "Box 1" tab of the excel spreadsheet from the "Design Backup" tab using an "='DESIGN BACKUP'!columnrow" formula.

When updating the table from the source through LDM, the error message "Input string was not in a correct format." appeared, and the table did not update.

When the periods were removed from the "Design Backup" tab Design Notes text and the excel file was saved, LDM updated the table with no error.

If anyone notices this error message, I would recommend checking for punctuation (periods specifically) in linked text strings. It could potentially also happen with automated quantities spreadsheets if there are periods included in string adhocs.

Please let me know if anyone sees this error message and is not able to resolve it with the above advice.
