I am having an issue with Linked Data Manager, whenever I open Linked Data Manager and error comes up
Could not load fie or assembly 'Microsoft.office.interop.excel,Version=12.0.0.0,Culture=neutral,PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
I cannot update links from changes made within Excel or create nay new links.
When I use mircrostation and Linked Data Manager on another computer the link works fine and the linked file updates within mircrostation.
The issue lies with the particular computer I am using.
Any help will be appreciated,
Thank you.
David,
This is an error that can potentially be caused by some registry values from a previous version of Office still lingering in the registry. I would recommend the following:
Access the Windows "Add Remove Programs" dialog and locate Microsoft Office. Select Microsoft Office and select "Modify" You will be given two options for repairing Microsoft Office. Select "Online Repair" as this is a full repair. Restart your machine after and re-launch FDOTSS4 to see if the issue with LDM has been resolved.
If this does not resolve the issue, please let me know and we can troubleshoot further. Thanks!
