In SS10, we had a VBA that would open the little tool box with Place Cell Along in it. I have not been able to locate this same tool in ORD. Has anyone had any luck?
Not sure if this is what you refer to, but the closest tool I've been able to find to the Place Cell Group By Feature in SS10 is the FDOT Traffic Design tool.

This tool is what I need. Unfortunately I can't select the cell I need as there are no traffic control items in here. I am trying to place Channelizing Devices for TTC.
Thanks for the suggestion though, I had never actually taken a look at that tool!

Definitely a good point. Would be nice to see that added by FDOT. That's what I used the tool for most (well, that and RPMs) in SS10.
An alternative method for the CDs would be to use the Construct Array tool to place along a path at your specified distance. I've used that with success in the past as well. You won't be able to offset a line/arc/complex chain with the tool, but you can make a separate element on Scratch/NonPlotting/ConstLines to serve as a placement guide.
Thats what I used it for to. You CAN place RPMS with the tool you mentioned as well as the Pavement Marking tool I believe. Ill check out the Array method as well.
Thanks!
Commenting 3 years later just to say thanks for this. Helped me place channelizing devices easily. I may be going crazy but I swore the Cell Tools MDL app was working for me in 10.10. Either way the Array tool works great.
