I am recreating this from my previous thread that got a little off the original topic.
I installed the latest updates last week and have been having quite a few issues with slow performance. All of the files I am working with have been updated along the way from as early as 10.07, which could be part of the issue. I was having no issues with ORD 10.10.01.03 and FDOT Connect 10.10.00.01 (other than some minor issues with dark mode) and have since reverted back to these versions until I can determine a solution.
The following hang-ups are occurring:
I have tried compressing files to no avail. I work on local files, typically on my OneDrive files that are on my E Drive. I tried copying to my C drive and there was no improvement. Both of these drives are NVME drives. All of these issues are also occurring on my virtual machine, so it’s not just my home computer.
Then I decided to try to open my files without the workspace. I just right clicked one of my files and hit open. NONE of the issues above were occurring. However, the following was still an issue:
I have posted a video to my YouTube page highlighting these issues: https://youtu.be/c_p2HTRADBU
Has anyone encountered these issues?
Sorry about that, Zachary! As I commented on your YouTube video, I haven't experienced the same issues as you have yet and I've been doing some modeling over the past few days. I will say it does take about 1 minute to load into a file using the FDOT Connect workspace. There are a lot of dgnlibs being loaded in at once and there was some discussion from Bentley about consolidating those in a recent Coffee Corner. Wonder if there is some merit to that, but I would think that would only reduce load times a few seconds. I do suspect your view switching issue is stemming from using upgraded files in a fairly large, complex model. But it is hard to say that for sure. It may be worth running the Update Standards from dgnlib again?
Regarding the Undo issue, we have definitely experienced that as well. And, in some occasions, users (including myself) have reported that using Undo at certain times will actually undo a multitude of your changes, not just the most recent one. We are trying to determine the root cause and so far don't have enough evidence to nail it down, but my experience also revolved around Civil Labeler.

Eddie, I fully understand the loading of all the dgnlibs. I even add a few custom ones of my own to the mix for Text Favorites and Dimensions Styles, cell libraries, etc. In 10.10.01.03, I don't really have any slow with these things.
I have also experienced the Undo essentially undoing everything I have done since entering the file. I am thankful for OneDrive backups in that case. Civil Labeler is certainly doing something. I have approached Bentley with this slow undo, along with some other issues related to Civil Labeler and haven't had any luck getting a fix.
As for the original issue, I should have an opportunity to start a new project here with only files created in 10.10.21.4. Based on your experience, it seems like my issue stems from using files upgraded from previous versions. I don't really see any way around that as I am not going to be able to recreate my model in a new file without spending a great deal of time.
Hopefully someone who has some insight into the inner workings of FDOT Connect and ORD can respond here. It must be some issue that occurred in 10.10.21.4 or the previous version.
Thanks
