How is everyone handling curb deductions for drainage structures these days? Are you using a switch to turn off the curb component for the limits of the inlet? Using 2D linework and just breaking at the inlets?
It seems like something that was once automatic has gotten quite tedious. I have a 6 mile long job and I am not sure how I want to handle the curb deductions.
Thanks
You definitely bring up a good point about how tedious this could be. You'd also likely need to introduce key stations at every start/end inlet where you do not have a template interval already, to really ensure the accuracy.
Corridor clipping will not work in these locations either, because that is ignored when element component quantities are generated.
At this time, we are still producing linear quantities (such as curb) by 2d linework, rather than the 3d model.
