I have a couple issues that I'm coming across with modeling utilities. I am following chapter 4 of the training guide for the existing modeling.
This is a sidewalk job and the DTM we have is limited. We have utility lines from our survey that go in and out of the DTM. So when we model them, they look funky in those areas outside. Is there any way around this?
Also, does this affect our ability to adjust the vertical offsets once we have the verified utility information?
Thank you in advance!

Can you clarify what you mean? A screen grab or something to better understand the issue.

It's basically anywhere the utility goes outside of the DTM to connect to the appropriate node.
Will your lacking existing DTM terrain be updated? You could develop a complex existing terrain that contains a "null" placeholder for future changes. It seems like the area outside of your DTM that's giving you issues will need a temporary solution and that complex terrain can contain the original terrain along with and any temporary or supplemental additions.

By following the null placeholder idea/tip shown in this video, you can more or less future proof any vertical offset relationships that are derived from that complex terrain.
We won't be getting any additional DTM unfortunately. I think we figured out a work around with manually adjusting the profiles
