Hi all,
I understand that SS10 is being deprecated but we still have some legacy projects that are in the software. We have been encountering an issue with the FDOT Menubar on FDOTSS10 when on a Windows 10 machine. When trying to switch to, say, Structures mode we get the following error:
Has anyone else encountered this and could offer a solution? Thanks!
Hello Eddie,
We have the same issue with "some" (it works fine in other machines with the same OS) Windows 10 and Windows 11 machines. We can't change the FDOT Menubar on FDOTSS10, and some tools do not work, like Text, cells, etc.
Did you find a solution to this issue?
Unfortunately, no. The problem definitely still persists (I just had a user encounter this a few weeks ago), but it is hit or miss depending on machine. Having difficulty replicating this with any sort of consistency.

Sometimes, reregistering the DLL fixes this. Previously one of our administrators was able to fix it as follows:
Start ms-dos command (as administrator)
Navigate to windows\syswow64
Regsvr32 fm20.dll

I followed up with a few users and it seems we were able to address the issue by doing a full reinstall of FDOTSS10. Perhaps give that a try.
We did the full reinstall of the FDOTSS10, this was unsuccessful. However, we were able to fix the issue, by forcing the installation of the prerequisites of PowerGeopak v. 08.11.09.918 and one extra mdl requirement.
