FDOT connect icon missing

Which version of OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition and FDOT Connect programs did you install? Incorrect or incompatible versions may be the cause for the missing FDOTConnect for OpenRoads Designer Desktop Shortcut. As for the missing "FDOT" tab: This could be the result of an incomplete installation of the FDOT Connect software.

If the correct (compatible) versions of OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition and FDOT Connect programs are installed, you may want to check:

• C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenRoads Designer CE\Configuration\ConfigurationSetup.cfg File - The _USTN_CUSTOM_CONFIGURATION and _USTN_CONFIGURATION variables should be set to C:/FDOTConnect/.
• With the OpenRoads Designer program running, switch to (if not set already) the OpenRoads Modeling workflow. The FDOT Ribbon Tab is only visible here.

Per FDOT Cadd Support, FDOTConnect 10.09.00.00 software is certified for use with OpenRoads Designer 10.09.00.91. If install with a latest ORD version FDOTConnect will not work.

The latest version of OpenRoads Designer CONNECT Edition is 10.10.01.03 which is not compatible with the FDOT Connect 10.09.00.00 software. So, you will need to download and install the 10.09.00.91 version of OpenRoads Designer.

FDOT is working on a version of FDOT Connect that will be compatible with the 10.10.XX.XX version of OpenRoads Designer. Not sure when it will be released. However, I am hearing before the end of 2021.
