Modifying a profile imported from Geopak

How do you modify a profile imported from Geopak.

the purple is the one I need to modify in the profile view.

I have a similar question on modifying profiles. Whether they are imported from Geopak or created using the VPI Profile tool in SS4, they are very difficult to manipulate after the profile has been set. And I mean by trying to change the placement of vertical curves. Some times the elevation and station of a VPI do not show up to be able to manipulate them. Are there any tips on the profile tools in SS4?
