Is there a simple way to print references in a grayscale, similar to the way it was done in previous versions of MicroStation? For example, with the proper plot configuration and pen table, all you had to do was to change the logical name of the reference to "gray" or "grey" and the reference would plot out at a certain RGB that would be a nice, light gray, perfect for signal plans and SPM plans.
I cannot find the right combination of driver/pen table to get it to work now.
If you use the FDOT_GrayExisting pen table, you can use the logical names topo.*, drex.*, or utex.*. See the attached image.

What does the point after topo. drex. and utex do? I know the * is a wildcard to accept logical names that start with topo drex and utex
the . and * function as wildcards. If my recollection is correct, the dot means "any character" much in the same way we use the asterisk. The asterisk after the dot means "and any number of other characters after this."
Basically the dot and the asterisk together serve the same function as an asterisk normally would in other situations.
