Plotting Microstation Elements in White

How can I make the bicycle symbol and the "WL52" in the top sign to print in white?  They are both text strings, on TextLabel level, and color by level, which is 0.

  • Is it that you want the Symbol and Text to print in white or be viewed as white?  How was this sign created  GuidSIGN?  I'll need to know this information inorder to assist, but if this was done with GuidSIGN you might need to make a copy of the Bike Symbol in the GuidSIGN cell library and change the color on your copy in order to place it in the CAD file as white.  If it's a plotting issue you could modify a pentable to have it plot how you need it to.  it would be helpful if you could email me the file if you would like.

  • You can change the plot color of the Cell and Text to an off white color like 16 or the background color (RGB 255,255,255), by the following steps:

    1.  Change the Level for the upper Bike Symbol to SignDetail.

    2.  Change the Level for the upper WL52 to SignLettersAZ.

    3.  Access the Print Dialog.

    4.  Load your Pentable (.tbl) and then edit the pentable.

    5.  Create a New Section.

    6.  Set the Element Selection Tab to:

         a.  Type: Cell, Text  (Assuming the Bike Symbol is a cell.)

         b.  Level:  SignDetail, SignLetterAZ

    7.  Set the Element Output Tab Actions to:

        a.  Toggle on Color, By index, select Color 16 or RGB 255,255,255.

    8.  Save the Pentable and test.

Note: Color 16 (GuidSIGN uses color 16 for white.) is not white, but to the eye, looks white.
