Microstation Sheets not printing to pdf with the correct scale

System and Microstation info is in my profile

I am attempting to plot a plan set to pdf and keep ending up with the scale being slightly off when I measure in Adobe. I have also printed the pdf and used a scale to measure the sheet and the scale is slightly off there as well.

I believe there is something occuring while printing to pdf.

I can confirm that my 50 scale plan sheet shows 700' of the CL

I can confirm that Microstation says it is printing the sheet at 50 scale

The resulting pdf only measures 699.72' along the centerline.

I understand this is a very minor issue, but something is clearly not working correctly. I have tried printing using the normal print dialog, print organizer and EDI with the same result. I see the issue on my plan sheets, profile sheets, and xs sheets.

Can anyone confirm this issue or do I just have something wrong with setup?

Thanks

  • I have been doing some testing and I get similar results.  I tested it with multiple viewers and printing it with various settings defined in the PLTCFG file used to create the PDF. It probably has something to do with the format and viewer. I adjusted the measurement settings in Acrobat and was able to get it slightly closet but that also made it harder to snap to the correct location. I was never able to get it to match MicroStation exactly.

  • We just checked some our older projects as well as several other projects we have from other firms and were coming up with the same issues. I know the issue is pretty minor, but is there anything we can do to fix this?
