FDOT_GrayExisting.tbl Pen Table Plots Grayscale Too Light

Question

I'm using a pen table that plots reference files with logical names like topo, drex, gray, etc. with color 20. I need make the OUT_COLOR some darker shades of gray, but not black, so that they will show up better on sheets with raster images, like the one below. What other colors will plot gray?

This was written for use with EDI, but the principle is the same. You can define your own color (for pen 20) in a pen table and you can define a darker grayscale (or lighter) by trying out different values. 190,190,190 for rgb is a lighter gray than 100,100,100 etc. The following sites also provide information on RASTER settings in the pen table.
