Curve Data Table Error

I am trying to create a curve data table for my project and it keeps giving me an error. I get the VBA error below. Also, when clicking the question mark box for the help in the bar menu, it opens a blank window.

Thanks

  • If you do not have a GPK file in the active file folder in the FDOT project directory the VBA may not be able to locate a 'project' as the VBA considers the GPK and any of its stored chains the project/project data.

  • Close out of Microstation
Navigate to the PowerGEOPAK/Microstation-GEOPAK Suite install directory:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\PowerGEOPAK V8i \PowerGEOPAK\Civil\bin\
    or
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\GEOPAK \v8.11\bin\

    Locate the file geopakcom.exe.

    Right-click on the file

    Click Run as administrator.

Let me know if this works.

    Important Note:

    FYI - running Geopakcom.exe...

This is something you have to do with GEOPAK dual version platforms. It does fix the version of PowerGeopak/MicroStation that it's run from, but it can break other versions. (Last run takes precedence). This could affect several other mvbas.

If you have dual version platforms installed you may have to perform this procedure on other version platforms (ie. SS2, SS3 and eventually, SS4 (due out sometime this Summer)) to get MVBAs to run in the other version platforms. Last run takes precedence).

  • Did both of those things and got it running. I was trying to create the table from the PLAYRD01 file, which was in the roadway, same as my gpk. So that was probably not the issue

I did the geopakcom thing and that seemed to get everything working again.

    Thank you

  • Just a suggestion for this VBA, but would it be possible to add a few more output columns to it to match the Curve and Coordinate Data table from the Linked Data Manager? It got almost everything, but I am having to add the external distance and all the coordinates my hand. I just printed them into the COGO window, then copied that into Word, but I am still having to copy paste all this information in the table.

    Just a suggestion/request.

    Thanks again for your help

  • For the record... in SS3/SS4 we created a custom style sheet for "Curve and Coordinate Data table" that can be created from the Horizontal Geometry Reports tool. No VBA needed.
