FDOT SS4 - Cannot set plot scale using FDOT Menu bar.

After installing FDOT SS4, the "set plot scale" feature in the FDOT Menu bar does not show up the plot scale window. Instead, the following error message is received:

MDL Loader: Unable to load library (DLL or MDL shared library) kernel32

Dll Loader: unable to find kernel32.dll.

Please let me know if anyone else is having this issue, and how to resolve. There was a fix for the same problem after installing SS3, but that does not work in SS4.

  • I spoke to Jimmie, who remembered we had this issue a lot sometime ago. He suggested the following:

    This error usually occurs if the c:\windows\system32\ path is missing/not listed MicroStation Menubar > Workspace > Configuration > Primary Search Paths > Library Path. You can fix this by adding the path c:\windows\system32\ to MicroStation Menubar > Workspace > Configuration > Primary Search Paths > Library Path.

    Let me know if this works. If not, we will have to do a gotomeeting to resolve this issue.

    I added the path like you and Jimmie suggested and the issue is resolved! Thank you Brad and Jimmie for helping me with this. I greatly appreciate it!
