Vertical Clearance Gauge Sign Report and Sheet Placement with GuidSIGN
(1) From the GuidSIGN Toolbar, left mouse click and hold the Place Sheet tool icon to access the contextual menu.
(2) Select Place Drawing Sheet from the menu.
(3) Data Point anywhere in the Vertical Clearance Gauge Sign Panel.
Note: As with most GuidSIGN sign design, when placing the sheet, it’s recommended to design the largest sign first, place the sheet, then design the smaller signs.
(4) From the Place Drawing Sheet dialog, scroll to find the FDOT VCG STR (Vertical Clearance Gauge Structures) sheet from the list.
Note: The Place Drawing Sheet dialog is not sizable and does not have any mouse over tool tips to show the full description of the sheet cell. There are 2 Vertical Clearance Gauge Sheet Cells. The FDOT VCG STR (Vertical Clearance Gauge Structures) has the FDOT Structures Sheet Border and the FDOT VCG RD (Vertical Clearance Gauge Roadway) has the FDOT Roadway Sheet Border.
(5) Adjust the Plot Scale and Drawing sheet text height as desired or required by FDOT Standards.
(6) Click the Ok button to place the sheet.
Note: The sheet scale can be adjusted in Place Drawing Sheet dialog if sheet scale does not esthetically appear correct. The dimension scale can be adjusted independently from the sheet scale by accessing the Place Dimensions > View/Edit Settings dialog from the GuidSIGN Toolbar.
(7) From the GuidSIGN Toolbar, left mouse click and hold the Place Sheet tool icon to access the contextual menu.
(8) Select Place Report from the menu.
(9) Data Point anywhere in the Vertical Clearance Gauge Sign Panel.
(10) From the Place Report dialog, scroll to find the FDOT VCG (Vertical Clearance Gauge Sign Report) report from the list.
Note: The Place Report dialog is not sizable and does not have any mouse over tool tips to show the full description of the sheet cell. There are 2 Vertical Clearance Gauge Report Cells. The FDOT VCG (Vertical Clearance Gauge Sign Report) for the Vertical Clearance Gauge Sign and the FDOT MC (Minimum Clearance Panel Report) for the supplemental Minimum Clearance sign panel.
(11) Adjust the Plot Scale and Report text height as desired or required by FDOT Standards.
(12) Click the Ok button to place the report on the sheet.
Note: The Report scale should match the Place Drawing Sheet scale. The Foot Mark section of the sheet will need to be filled out manually, however at the time of posting this procedure, the Angle, X coordinate and Y, coordinate is not a requirement.
(13) Design the Minimum Clearance Supplemental Panel and place panel in the smaller sheet pane in the upper left hand side of the sheet.
(14) From the GuidSIGN Toolbar, left mouse click and hold the Place Sheet tool icon to access the contextual menu.
(15) Select Place Report from the menu.
(16) Data Point anywhere in the Minimum Clearance Supplemental Panel.
(17) From the Place Report dialog, scroll to find the FDOT MC (Minimum Clearance Panel Report) report from the list.
(18) Adjust the Plot Scale and Report text height as desired or required by FDOT Standards.
(19) Click the Ok button to place the report on the sheet.
Note: The Report scale should match the Place Drawing Sheet scale.
