You've installed Microstation v8i and GEOPAK, and FDOT2010 and you're certain that you've done everything correctly. Something is still not right: GEOPAK won't start when you launch FDOT2010. You're running the latest and the greatest -- what gives?
There are two solutions:
1) Add a simply command line argument to your FDOT2010 shortcut.
Right click on your FDOT2010 icon and select "Properties"
The shortcut properties dialog will display
In the "Target" field, replace the command with this command:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries)\MicroStation\ustation.exe" -WSLoad_GEOPAK_SS2=1 -WS_USTN_USER=C:\FDOT2010\workspace\users\ -wuFDOT2010
Click "OK" to accept the changes and dismiss the properties dialog. Execute FDOT2010. Congratulations, GEOPAK should load correctly now!
OR
2) Run the FDOT2010 MR1 Client
"But I have a Workstation installation!" you say. That's fine. Regardless of whether or not you have a Workstation installation or a Client/Server installation, simply run the FDOT2010 MR1 Client update to resolve your issue. If you have a Client/Server, be sure to point to the correct location of the server when prompted; if you have a Workstation installation, just point back to your local install folder when prompted.
