Overview

Welcome

State Highway Administration (SHA), as one of the five business units of MDOT, is responsible for maintaining a total of 7,500 lane miles of Maryland’s numbered highways outside of Baltimore. The types of highway projects it undertakes include pavement resurfacingsignage improvementssignalization upgrades, and bridge-deck replacements. Its annual budget is typically over $1 billion. It relies on 100s of consulting engineering firms for planning, design, and construction management services. SHA has standardized on Bentely Software for the production of infrastructure design drawings and models, and on ProjectWise for collaboration with consulting engineering firms.

This Training and Guidance Wiki Page represents the initial efforts of the SHA CADD/PW Team, to deliver a shared resource for SHA Staff and SHA Consultants in the Bentley community.
