Custom Linestyles for Rendering

I'm working on some animations and rendering for PI and have discovered that ODOT's custom linestyles (striping) won't carry over into LumenRT.  Are there any plans to upgrade ODOT's custom linestyles for this?  My understanding is that they'll need actual widths and geometry to them...unless you just decide to use Bentley's.

Thanks,

Dan

  • JD,

Let's get together and have a look at this. This is certainly an opportunity to enhance output for public approval on infrastructure projects. We could add geometric sizes to the current striping line styles which I think is what will solve this.

If I am wrong here let me know. Either way I'll ring you and help sort this for Ohio.

  • While I know that will fix the problem in this case but in general there are a lot of line styles that don't have geometric sizes to it. We will eventually update our pavement marking linestyles to have a width.
A line in MicroStation is a very common thing. So common I think most users would have the expectation that it would show up in LumenRT.
