Where are the centerline, baseline, flowline, etc. characters in the ODOTcadd font? The pipe, brackets, etc. appear to just be the regular true type characters. Also, they don't appear when I look in the symbols either. It gets to lowercase omega and then just shows a bunch of question marks.
Thanks,
Dan
Dan,
This is something we have found across multiple fonts that are TTF in ORD. What it looks like on my end is that the Unicode library is half coded in ORD so many of the symbols in multiple fonts won't come in. This is a known issue that has defects files because of it.

just to add to this.
all the characters in the font show up in MicroStation Connect, office products (word, excel...) pretty much all programs except ORD. This is just a defect with ORD and not our font. Hopefully it is fixed soon since we have the defect filed with Bentley.

Just an FYI - the symbols for centerline, flowline, property line, etc. using the Engineering font straight out of the box are working now.
We're aware of that. The problem is an ORD bug that has been confirmed by Bentley and logged as a defect. The Symbols defined in the ODOTcadd font work fine in MicroStation Connect Edition, just not ORD. Here is a screen capture of the special characters in MicroStation CE. I don't know what else to tell you.

Hi Eric - thanks for the info on MicroStation CE. I hadn't tried it in there - only ORD. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on the usefulness of creating the custom font. See you at the users meeting!
No problem. See you at the meeting!
