Chris,

the attach image button i turned off for now. im waiting for an update from Bentley. since the app is a stand alone app (can be opened without ORD) it needs to connect to the opened dgn file in oder to add the attachment. the problem is ORD/MicroStation instances are not added to the running object table in windows. So i am unable to attach to a specific instance of ORD, i can only attach to the first opened instance. So i had the functionality working but its not really full proof. so i turned it off. i submitted this is Bentley a couple years ago. they were trying to get it in MicroStation update 14 but it was more involved and got pushed to update 15.

Also the KMZ functionality does work, its the ability to specify colors that is coming soon...but really its a future enhancement. i shouldn't have put coming soon.

So the attach image button is not usable then? We just use the raster manager for the title sheet?

Ah, so buffer is the reason I am crashing. How are we to attach the map once we generate and save it, Matt?

Chris,

I think you may be missing a step. Once you enter the PID number you'll need to select the Location then click Generate Map. You will likely want to change and/or play with the Buffer value prior to get the desired map limits. Using the PID in your screenshot the app crashed using a Buffer of 20, but appears to work once I changed it to 200.

Once you get the map you want, select save image. Then you can attach the image to your title sheet.

We recognize this app has some limitations. You could also use the old county map dgn files instead, but note that they haven’t been updated in many years but generally should still be adequate.
