[CONNECT] Ohio DOT Unit Converter App

OhioDOT has made an application to help with converting our workspace from Survey Feet to International feet. This app was based off the Scale Models app that Bentley posted with their migration utilities.

Bentley's Scale Models app (at the time of posting this) was missing some functionality which is why we made this application. This app does everything the Scale Models app can do but also adds the following functionality:

• Detailed log of everything it does
• Ability to run it on the active file or all dgn/dgnlib/cel files within a folder and subfolders
• Integrated with ProjectWise
• Can set the Solids Area for a model
• Can optionally process non-indexed models ( dynamic profile/ dynamic XS views)
• Can remove Geographic Coordinate systems from models
• Can Attach Geographic Coordinate systems to models
• Can turn on or off ACS Triad (Bentley's Scale model only has option for turning on the ACD Triad)

The application also offers the following functionality which Bentley's Scale Model app offers as well.

•  Ability to only process on models with a specified resolution and storage unit
• Set the Resolution of a model (and storage units)
• Sets the Master Units of a model
• Sets the Master Unit Label of a model
• Sets the Sub Units of a model
• Sets the Sub Unit Label of a model
• Sets the Units display of a model
• Sets the Accuracy of a Model
• Ability to scale model elements about 0,0 by a specified factor
• Turn ACS Triad on
• Fit views  per model

Ohio DOT is providing this utility as a convenience for anyone that would like to use it with the following stipulations:

1. IT IS A USE AT YOUR OWN RISK APPLICATION
2. BY USING THE APPLICATION YOU ASSUME ALL LIABILITY
3. ANY EFFORT TO MODIFY/REPRODUCE THIS APPLICATION WILL NOTIFY OHIO DOT AND GIVE PROPER CREDIT TO OHIO DOT 
4. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO MAKE A BACK UP OF FILES BEFORE USING THIS APPLICATION

the application is written as a Microstation Addin and was written for CONNECT edition products.

The application can be downloaded here. 

The contents of the downloaded zip file needs to be placed within the mdlapps folder at the products installation folder. for example the default location for MicroStation Connect Edition would be C:\Program Files\Bentley\MicroStation CONNECT Edition\MicroStation\Mdlapps\. Or it needs to placed at a location defined by the MS_ADDINPATH configuration variable.

The following keyin can be used to launch the application 

mdl load OHDOT_MSCEFileUnitConverter; ohdot_mscefileunitconverter open

Once launched you will have to accept the disclaimer and then the application will launch
