Blogs ?

Any idea why it isn't possible to post blog articles in the Parametric Cell Studio community?

  • During the migration of content to the "new platform", a number of communities were put "on hold" while we figured out where the best fit for them might be -- either standing on their own, being "merged" with another community, getting completely removed, etc. The "on hold" communities did not have all the things applied to them that the migrated communities did, resulting in some things (like the blog) not working as in other communities. The one that you refer to is being considered to be "merged" with the Bentley Building Analysis and Design community, but we have not done that yet.

  • Andreas,

I just tried a test blog for this community and it worked.

    Phil,

I believe this community was started by users and is

not related to the old Parametric Cell Studio Forum.

The original one I think has already been merged into BBAD.

Hopefully I can delete the test blog I attached.

    Thanks,

    Tom

  • Yes, that is all true. One of the reasons why we have not (yet) "merged" the community is making sure that the content from one makes it to the other. Once we get that going (similar to what is taking place in other similar situations), then there will be one place to go to for information and on the topic.

  • Good to know.

Anyway - I think the best content for the things I need most (tutorial) would be a Wiki.

  • Phil,

When the community is moved. If possible, It would be great

to set it up similar to the way the Microstation V8i forum is constructed.

Having the main forum as the base with Parametric Studio as

a sub-group. Same as dwg, printing, detailing, etc are sub groups of V8i.

But I do agree that its current connection to the Building community

is not readily apparent for those interested in Parametric Studio discussions.

    Thanks, Tom
