Who Are Bentley’s Knowledge Executives?

Stuart, to date most of the updates have been through Bentley's Twitter account. It appears from time to time in the list to the right of the main page.

I don't treat Twitter can be promoted a main announcement channel. My experience is Twitter is great as a channel for short news, but more official announcements are always published also on web. I see Bentley Systems Twitter channel has about 9k followers ... many local channels have much more. And where to provide information and announcements about Knowledge Executives, that is community appraisal, than on the community web?

Not yet. We're working on an important update, after which we will consider the Knowledge Executive (or equivalent) program. Thanks for your interest.

Has the important update happened? Can't recall seeing anything!

... which for me is just a proof that knowledge sharing in community does not depend on a formal appraisal. On the other hand it's a shame and loss for Bentley they are not able to maintain such program. Why it's so big problem when so many companies are able to run similar programs in a consistent manner for years?

Hi guys

An update is on its way, and we're very enthused about the potential to help Bentley Communities grow. MVP/KE programs have been considered at all stages of testing the new platform. While they may not be available on release, we do have plans to incorporate them as we consider them as valuable as our users do.

I assume it's not surprise such answer is not too trustworthy. Stuart's question is nearly two years old and all Bentley responses has offered vague promises only. From outside, nothing has changed so far. In world that likes agile approach and a common target is to deliver an incremental value in a few weeks cycles, the two years looks more like dinosaurus time scale.

I don't know what is the new platform you mentioned, but my feeling Bentley does not use existing knowledge and skills sources: If designing such program, I would have assumed that you will arrange discussions (or other type of interactions) with both existing BeMVPs / KEs and users in communities. It's in my opinion the only way to find the best fit and balance between company's long term strategies and targets, users' community needs and expectations and knowledge sources (MVP/KE) activities and willingness to help. Personally I am pretty sure one from reasons why Knowledge Executive program was doomed from very first minute was a fact it was designed in an ivory tower in clean office room without a relation to real world.

Maybe I missed something, but I don't know about such activity (while the same approach is used as a standard way to obtain feedback about Bentley beta versions with success I think).

I don't comprehend what is the new stage you referenced, however my inclination Bentley does not utilize existing learning and abilities sources: If planning such program, I would have accepted that you will mastermind exchanges (or other kind of collaborations) with both existing BeMVPs/KEs and clients in networks. It's as I would like to think the best way to locate the best fit and harmony between organization's long haul methodologies and focuses on, clients' locale needs and desires and learning sources (MVP/KE) exercises and ability to help. By and by I am almost certain one from reasons why Knowledge Executive program was destined from first moment was a reality it was structured in an ivory tower in clean office room without a connection to genuine world.

Possibly I missed something, yet I don't think about such movement (while a similar methodology is utilized as a standard method to get criticism about Bentley beta variants with progress I think).
