Ambiguous/Misleading name: Modelling and Visualization

The name of the Modelling and Visualization Community/Forum is ambiguous and encourages posts about visualization that would be more appropriately posted to the Visualization Community/Forum.

The description of the Modelling and Visualization forum is"

"This forum is for questions and discussions relating to MicroStation, MicroStation PowerDraft, and Bentley View."

I think a rename to something like Core MicroStation Community/Forum would be more appropriate/helpful.

I agree with Ron for 100%, the current naming is very confusing and I have received many questions from my customers what forum should be used for a plain MicroStation questions. Also naming overlap with Visualization community is not good.

I agree with Ron for 100%, the current naming is very confusing and I have received many questions from my customers what forum should be used for a plain MicroStation questions. Also naming overlap with Visualization community is not good.

You will see a change in the labeling of product communities over the next several days including the renaming of "Modeling and Visualization." You should have already observed the reintroduction of breadcrumb navigation. A product community will include a list of individual products covered. See the Haestad | Hydraulics and Hydrology community for an example. Cheers!

You're welcome. I just completed the "branding" of all product communities so users can better relate to the content of the individual communities. This has been a few months in the making as the proposal made its way around Bentley. Everyone I presented to thought it was logical and straightforward. I also replaced the community icons with that of an approved Bentley product icon within each community. My whimsy.
