How to post in the different forums or add discussion threads.

I don't see a link that will allow me to post in the different communities or product forums. Has that changed?

  • Hello,

On the homepage (Communities.bentley.com), you will see a dropdown menu with a green "Go" button next to it, which should you navigate to the appropriate product community. Once there, click the "Forum" link under the name of the Community, select the appropriate forum and click the blue "+New" button in the upper right corner to post a question or discussion.

My guess is that you have found the appropriate forum but you are not seeing the blue "+new" button to post your question. This can happen in some cases where there is a problem with your account. This often happens in cases where there is more than one email address listed. I see that this is the case for you. I will contact you via Private message to confirm the correct email address so I can fix this in your account.

  • Hi Jessi, Despite the effectiveness of Microstation as a software which I have worked on since the days of Integration back in  early 1990s. Microstation forum does not live up to the standard of the software. Here I am trying to find a way to establish how can I post a post on a forum. This should be the easiest task to do and it should be an idiot proof. I needed to go and search on google on how to start a post on Bentleys forum!!

This cannot be justified..... no matter what is said.

    There is a flaw.

Please escalate this to those who have done the web forum... it is an embarrassment as Microstation is the best detailed software humanity ever produced.

  • Looking at your account I could not see anything that may be an issue for you to not be able to start a new discussion in the Communities. You should be seeing a blue button in the top right corner with the word NEW. Looking at your account it also appears that you have created a new discussion already. Were you able to get it operational?
