What's new in the July 2017 update of Bentley Communities?

The following are some highlights of the changes to Bentley Communities made in July, 2017:

Layout / site navigation

• The overall width of the site has been increased by 25%
• The site header is 20% smaller (vertically) when scrolling content 
• The header of each Community now has easy to see tiles for navigation between applications (Wiki, Forum, Blog, etc)
  • When scrolling, the header moves out of the way.
• The Heading font sizes have been reduced
• Faster overall performance

Forum

• Threaded Conversations (tree structure, limited to 3-deep)
• “I have this question too”
  • Adds to “Questions” list in the member’s profile
  • Enables thread reply notifications
  • Allows the member to verify answers
• Members can vote up/down – top answers are shown at the top of the thread
• No more “simple” vs. “advanced” reply – always uses rich text editor, including drag/drop images and emojis.
• New tag selection
• More obvious button to subscribe to a forum

Private Messaging

• Conversations no longer have a subject. Instead, one conversation for every unique combination of participants.
• You can search within PMs now (use main search bar, choose messages)

Other
