For the Ideas Forum, the default sort should be By date.
This would expose users to the newest Ideas when they first enter the forum.
The current default sort is By score, which reduces the exposure of new Ideas to users. It probably also tends to skew the scores accordingly.
Hello Ron,
After discussing this with my colleagues, we agree with your idea and the reasoning behind it. The change has been made and is now live on the site.
Thank you again for your valuable feedback.

Hi Jesse,
It looks like the default sort order is now set to By Highest Score.
That means the new ideas go to the bottom of the list immediately.
Why the change?
Hi Ron, sorry, I was away on vacation last week. I am not sure why this changed, but I suspect it was related to an upgrade we had a few weeks ago. We will look into this.
Any chance that the Ideas will get switched back to the default sort being By Date?
As it is now, it is a black hole where ideas disappear as soon as they are posted. Nobody will ever see new ideas unless they realize the sort is by popularity rather than date.
Regards,Ron
Sorry about the delay; I have made the correction so that the ideas are sorted by date now. Thanks for the reminder!
Thanks Jesse!
