No Promis-e forum

Please, please can we have a Promis-e forum. Pre-fixing each message with "Promis-e" helps search but some users are using "promise", "promis.e" etc. A dedicated forun would allow browseing of recent or all topics/messages, where-as the current situation only permits direct searching. I'm sure its simple to set up?

Thank you.

  • Thanks for your feedback. Various reasons for NOT creating individual sub-forums for individual products (at least not initially) are mentioned in this topic/thread. For the time being, inquiries relating to promis•e should be posted in the Plant Design and Engineering Forum.

  • Thank you for your quick reply.

I agree with some of your points (cross disciplines etc) but your reply proves one of my points, the standardisation on "Promis-e" and NOT for example "promis•e" as you typed. So when I do a search for a panel related thread in Promis-e (Promis-e is how its written on the software), I must do the following searches one at a time and record the results as they could all be different:
    Promis-e panel
    Promis.e panel
    promis•e panel
I tried do a search on "promis" hoping this would solve my problem by selecting all, but this does not search on promis.e or promis-e etc
This problem can only get worse as more people use the forum and think of more & more eventful (or accidental) ways of entering Promis-e (maybe Promis,e or Promis'e etc).
Also Promis-e does not have any cross disciplines.
As for tags, are these just a way of organising your own threads, as there is no automatic way of ensuring people enter relevant ones, the same problem as entering the correct title pre-fix?

If making Promis-e a distinct forum negatively effected others (I can't see why) then I would bow down gracefully, but please put yourself in my shoes for a moment and try to see how time consuming my/& others searching will become as the forum grows.

    Thank you.
