No Promis-e forum

Please, please can we have a Promis-e forum. Pre-fixing each message with "Promis-e" helps search but some users are using "promise", "promis.e" etc. A dedicated forun would allow browseing of recent or all topics/messages, where-as the current situation only permits direct searching. I'm sure its simple to set up?

Thank you.

  • This is not meant to be argumentative, but I have personally seen/heard/experienced the exact opposite -- the fact that this site consolidates choices instead of multiplying them, making things much easier to find/use, is welcomed as a "site for sore eyes" (so to speak). So, as mentioned previously, we are not going to create any sub-forums until there is necessary and sufficient reason to do so.

Phil, could it be possible to have a vote, asking all the promis-e users and if a certain percentage was reached maybe a sub-forum could be started? as we users should ideally be listened to but if the majority do not want it then so be it.

  • That should be pretty easy to determine without needing a "voting process".

  • Not only is this forum the most difficult to find ... I have yet to find any helpful information on promis-e.  Search on it or v8i and all that is returned is all kinds of stuff that'll take weeks to go through to glean any if there is any help on pormis_e
  • The forums have been chaotic for a very long time.  Though I've seen some changes for the better it's still nearly impossible to find information and the search function on the site is dismal and has been for some time.  So far every problem with the site has been solved with a 'workaround' as opposed to addressing the issue.

The problem lays in the fact that unless there is a change in philosphy at the top none of these issues will ever get porperly addressed.
