Hi,
When I comment on a forum thread, how do I get notified when other people comment back? I have responded to several people's questions and then later discovered that they wrote back, but I never knew about it. How do I subscribe to a thread (sort of like where I create a thread, I get notifications of when some one else replies back.)
--Thanks,--Robert Arnold
Hi Jesse,
Thanks for your help--that appears to be my conclusion as well. The two comments I have about the current operation are: 1) I expected to be subscribed to the forum and there was no immediately available clues that I was not. And 2) At the top right corner of the screen is a summary of the thread. It seems like here you should be able to see if you are subscribed (see picture below), and possibly have a button to subscribe here. The current location is too hidden.
--Thanks,--Robert
Robert, preliminary investigation indicates that you will only be subscribed to a thread if you reply to the thread itself (the original post). If you reply to a reply of the original post, it does not look like you will be subscribed. I am discussing this further and will keep you updated.

I am not sure why you are not being auto-subscribed to some threads. I will escalate this issue and get back to you as soon as I have a solution. Thank you for your patience.
I just did a great, "for instance"... I have replied to Bear in https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/microstation_printing/f/printing-and-plotting-forum/176247/links-to-reference-files-are-broken
Currently in the More section of the first post, I have the option to turn the notifications on...
Also, I would expect the notification option to be somewhere related to the tread, not in the first message of the thread. That seems like it should just contain items related to the first message.
The threads that I have been looking at were from several days ago. It is/was not a matter of refreshing the browser.
I just did a test message in this forum (please delete that test), and it seemed to work. Does it make a difference if I reply directly to the original message/person, or if I reply to someone who made a comment on the forum. (IE, Person A asks, "How to?", Person B replies "Here's how", and I reply to Person B. Will I be subscribed to the thread?)
