At least I was able to remove forums as well now.

"Remove Group from Favorites" will be in the community "banner". Are you not seeing a "Remove this forum from favorites" link in the OPTIONS box (under the "Mark all read" link)?

Under "Favorite Places" I do have 2 sections now, one is called groups, and one forums.

The only way to remove entries in those categories - as far as I know - is to go in that specific group or forum, and remove the group/forum from favorites.

The problem now is that there is just a "remove group from favorites", and no "remove forum from favorites" anymore.

Not sure I understand... you can add any number of things as favorites -- communities themselves of forums, threads, blogs, etc. within communities. Currently, you can add and remove individual favorites, but I am not aware of an ability to remove all favorites at one time.

OK, new problem.

As far as I can see all favourites have been moved to groups. That's fine - but I still have all my old favourites which are mapped to the forums, which I now can't remove.

Any hints how to reset all favourites and start from scratch?

We went through all the Product communities and made them consistent. Thanks for the feedback regarding that.

Regarding "forum" or not...

I also thought that it is redundant - until I found out that you also can favorite a blog. Still undecided myself...but whatever you choose, do it for all forums and blogs.

Yes, this goes back to the "should a forum be called a forum" discussion :) Seriously, some see that as being superfluous and redundant (e.g. when I am in a forum, I do not need to be told I am in a forum...), yet others would like to see that as clear labeling for things like searches, references in Favorites, etc. The jury is still out in deciding that, but input here will likely help in making it one or the other (for consistency purposes).

Building Performance Forum is listed as Performance Forum
sometimes the site is using "forum" in the name of the forum, sometimes not. One example is Structural Analysis and Design Forum, where it is used - Microstation V8i and example where it is not used.

To follow up on this, those specific forum names should now be more complete. Also, we noticed the the Analysis and Design and Drafting and Detailing forums were flip-flopped, so those have been swapped.

The names of the communities were changed, the applications within those communities will need to be changed also (which will happen).

Ahhh... I see. Yes, this is something else that we wanted feedback regarding. In some of the Product communities, we chose "titles" that were verbose (e.g. MicroStation > MicroStation V8i > MicroStation V8i - DWG, etc.) and in others went for brevity (e.g. Building > Performance). For the former, it makes sense from a list perspective (as your image shows). From a breadcrumb perspective, the "short description" looks better. There does not appear to be a way to have both (one for lists, another for the preadcrumb), so which one do you think we should go with?

In my opinion there is something wrong with 1. and 5.

The text for 1. should be replaced by the text for 5.

I have found if you have marked as "Favorite" sub-level forums with the same name you need to hover over the link to see which parent forum to which they belong.

Hmmm... maybe I do not understand the workflow you are using. When I go to that forum and click the Add Group to Favorites link, I only get that forum in my Favorite Places. Could you identify the specific steps you are using? (to see if I am doing something different...)
