Am I asked to verify my own reply, or just see things?
If you start a Question thread, you will have the option to select any of the replies in that thread as the Answer to your question. The system can not make that decision for you

Yes, thankfully no AI here :-)
But my question was about something entirely different:
What possible sense can make the choice "Did this answer your question?" on my own reply to some other post in my own thread?
In other words, when one can mark as Verified Answer his own answer to his own question, what was the point asking?
Which use case it address?

The use case is when the original poster found the solution to their own question. And that does happen :)
