There is an issue with communities page loading speed from different local offices. Sometimes portal is almost unusable as it takes forever to load any page in communities.bentley.com while other sites work correctly.It appears that the main bottleneck is that some images are very slow to load using SSL.
For example when experiencing slowdowns this image(HTTPS) doesn't load at all:
While this image loads instantly(HTTP):
Seems searching from google also triggers this issue as it doesn't correctly redirect to https - https://www.google.lv/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0ahUKEwiszpWky_7LAhWE6CwKHZPzBiMQFggaMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fcommunities.bentley.com%2Fhelp%2Ff%2F9549%2Ft%2F99075&usg=AFQjCNFZuhUQLYlEjBYuZOc0DqUFrAcW5Q&sig2=JKbTwEBVFO9y3HUMt4BELw&bvm=bv.118817766,d.bGg&cad=rja
Still there are issues when opening http links while I am logged using https. If I open links to communities from email which has http it doesn't work but if I replace it by https then page opens. Seems it doesn't correctly forward to https. examples: communities.bentley.com/.../99075 communities.bentley.com/.../99075
After posting answer issue is back :( Had to again restart browser to use communities or disabling/enabling network sometimes fixes issue. There is no log to send as simply page doesn't load at all or never stops loading. Maybe restarting machine will help. Strange that while communities doesn't open other sites are still accessible.
I have also enabled "network.http.pipelining" option in Firefox. Will try with this disabled.
I can now reproduce issue with pages that never stop loading. If open multiple topics in many tabs 10-15 then some pages start to load fully and shows that "transferring data from http://bentleysystems.122.2o7.net/" for a long time. Maybe it doesn't apply to only Bentley communities but this is one site I use most.
Wow... really? That is a new one on me, but something to definitely make a "note to self" about. Really glad to hear that this has (finally) been sorted... even if after a year!

Hmmm... could be related to caching? Not sure if that is the case, though... interesting.
