Welcome to the BE Community Wiki!

What is a Wiki?

A Wiki is a free-formed resource of the BE Community where members create and edit content collectively. It is maintained by the community, so the more content published and edited by community members, the better! You can wear many hats here - be a Wiki editor, a contributor who adds informative content, or simply a reader gathering knowledge. For a complete overview, visit Wiki Help.

Wiki Tips...

  1. Before creating a new topic, search for previously posted topics that may be similar.
  2. Always tag (add keywords) your entries --this greatly adds to the search functionality of the entire site and is very simple to do:
    1. Type in your keywords in the Tags box below your content box
  3. Link your entry:
    1.  to an existing wiki entry by adding double brackets around a title word of that existing entry. E.g., This information is provided by Bentley Systems, Incorporated.
    2.  to another web page elsewhere (either on BE Community or the internet) by copying the link directly, (e.g., Check out Phil's latest blog post: http://community.be.org/blogs/phil_chouinard_bentleys_blog/archive/2007/09/18/a-tale-of-two-cities.aspx) or by hyperlinking it (Check out Phil's latest blog post!)
  4. Add media --images and videos will enhance the wiki entry and should be used often. They may be uploaded from a desktop, or linked to from another site like YouTube (make sure to respect other's copywritten works).
