January 2016: Everything You Need to Know About This Year’s Bentley LEARNing Conferences

The 2016 Bentley LEARNing Conferences are right around the corner. We’ve highlighted where this year’s agenda is set to take place, and a few trainers who will lead the floor during general sessions, but we haven’t yet shared with you the amazing format upgrades that will make our 2016 conferences the most powerful and intensive learning and networking experiences yet.

If you’re new to the Bentley LEARNing Conferences—or if you were unable to join us at our #learn16 events—here’s what’s in store: full days of lectures and workshops, top-notch instructors who will connect the dots between your project questions and lesson plans, and the chance to build lasting relationships with peers and Bentley colleagues around the globe.

For those of you who attended last year – first, welcome back! With all the sessions, revamped social learning activities, and roundtable discussions taking place, there’s a lot to take in. Here’s a digest, running down what we’ll be doing at each location this year and what you won’t want to miss.

1. The schedule.

Last year we brought 13 themes across 3 locations, to give you the chance to really hone in on the solution and workflow strategies relevant to your field. We’re doing it again—now with an even tighter industry focus for each location:

The Bentley LEARNing Conference: Plant, Building, and Structural
March 21-23, Kansas City, MO
Plant Design, Building Design, Structural Analysis and Detailing, MicroStation Modeling, Reality Modeling

The Bentley LEARNing Conference: Road, Rail, Site, and Bridge
May 23-25, San Antonio, TX | June 27-29, Columbus, OH
Civil Design, Utilities and Drainage, Bridge Analysis, MicroStation Modeling, Reality Modeling

2. New pre-conference session tracks.

We love the hands-on learning portion of our conferences and we know you do, too. We’re introducing an optional pre-conference learning day filled with workshops covering conference prerequisites and fundamental best practices. Pre-conference sessions are available when you register for the conference, as an added benefit to the regular two-day conference pass.

3. You asked…

.. and we heard your requests. The Bentley Software Keynote is back in the agenda!

4. We’re reformatting reception hour.

Good-bye open-floor reception, hello “Day in Review.” The last hour of the day is now condensed into 5 concurrent sessions—each providing a look back at key points from day one’s topics. You can choose to stay in one wrap-up discussion, or circulate between a few to catch up on what you need to learn.

The “Day in Review” also offers other interactive segments such as ask the experts Q&A panels, roundtable discussions, tips and tricks, and audience participation games. Break included.

5. We have something special planned for you, too, early birds.

For those of you who want to start off your day with a well-fed stomach and a full brain, we’d like to introduce you to the Breakfast Club Track. Grab coffee and breakfast and meet your peers for an early morning group discussion. The Breakfast Club Track shares community challenges and best practices, and gives you the chance to learn from peers in a laid-back, informal setting.
