Derricke Gray and Ian Rosam share future direction for Bentley Civil software.

  • Number one priority this year for Bentley Civil: Aligning OpenRail (Bentley RailTrack SS4) with OpenRoads
  • RSS Feeds (CONNECT edition)
  • Bentley Civil Mobil: Round trip data from OpenRoads products to mobile devices - will reach all mobile platforms (Apple, Android, etc.)

Recent OpenRoads Enhancements: Terrain, Modeling, Interoperabilitiy, Support for Chord definition, i-model and icm enhancements.

Joe Waxmonsky talks “Corridor Modeling” best practices: To avoid holes in geometry "work from more to less" or out to in when filling.

In “Drawing Production Innovations in MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries 3)”, Shawn McGaffick shared MicroStation's new drawing production innovations speed design tasks and simplify workflows. Create 2D and 3D designs with ease with the comprehensive wide range of new and enhanced production drafting tools such as the Copy Parallel Tool, Move to Contact Tool, Break Tool Consolidation, Trim to Element Tool.

"Enhancing Annotation in MicroStation CONNECT". Shawn McGaffick digs into the new annotation enhancements of MicroStation CONNECT.

In “Transportation Asset Management Evolution”, Rusell Page says the asset management process needs to be more connected to transportation planning as we move towards a more strategic approach to Transportation Asset Management. Consider this: Poor Asset Lifecycle Management is expensive… when integrity drops 8%, employee productivity drops 50%.

Tom Stogdill takes users through the new MicroStation CONNECT ribbon navigation during the “Why the Ribbon: Navigating the User Interface in MicroStation CONNECT”

Derricke Gray teaches OpenRoads mobile. Making it so easy for everybody to use it!

SITEOPS and OPTIONEERING with David Settlemyer. Creating full campus design options in less than 1.5 hours. Looking at millions of options for site plans as fast as possible!

In ProjectWise CONNECT edition, you won't have to negotiate global firewalls.

"Global work-sharing with ProjectWise i-models". Vickie Hewitt states “52.54 milliseconds” fastest time it can take for data to get from Michigan to Australia through ProjectWise.

"Why are Integrated Civil i-Models a Better Option to Exchange Data?" Ian Rosam says:

  • Provides the entire 3d model – no pieces
  • Get business and engineering data in addition to graphical data
  • Manage and track changes in data
  • Maintain fidelity and provenance
  • Improved accuracy and efficiency for time savings
  • Protects proprietary investment/knowledge
