CONNECT Edition Training Issues

I'm starting to work through some MicroStation CONNECT edition training from the LEARNserver and am running into some issues.

Working in the "Introducing the MicroStation CONNECT Edition" workbook, one of the initial steps says to set the Active Workspace to "Example" then 5 WorkSets should be available to choose from - "Building", "Civil", "General", Geospatial", and "Plant". However, the only WorkSet option I'm getting is "MetroStation".

Another instance is when working in the "Creating Workspaces" workbook. The first step says to open CONNECT and choose "BentleyCONNECTTraining" from the Workspace drop down, but I don't see that option. Is there a way to browse to certain workspaces that are contained in the practice datasets, or is there an initial set-up step that I've missed where this Workspace would have been created?

I'm sure there's a simple and obvious solution, or just something that I've missed, but I'm just not finding any of these options that any of the practice workbooks are telling me to choose.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Paige

  • Hello Paige,
The only example file delivered now is the MetroStation example. The others have been 'retired'. I will speak to the training people to get the course updated. I expect the course was created before the other examples were retired. Such is the nature of software development.

Regarding the Bentley CONNECT Training workspace, I expect there must be a workspace to be downloaded somewhere. Again, I will ask the training folks and have them respond.
