My question may be confusing so I apologize. But, is there any sort of "template" I can purchase on MicroStation that has lines built more towards street striping? Having lines such as dashed yellow, dashed white, solid white, etc. This would be very helpful and save a lot of time.

But, if there isn't, what may I do so that I can create my own set of lines to better help with this project?

Thank you so much for your help!

Grid on Image

Hello,

I was wondering if there was a way to hide or get rid of the grid involving a raster. Any time I try and delete a section of the grid, it then deletes that section of the image with it. So instead, I was wondering if there were a way I could hid the grid, but keep the actual raster intact? (as seen in the image above)

If there is any further clarification I can provide, please let me know!

Clip/Mask Question

Hi,

I was wondering if there was any way that I could clip or mask just the element selected in the image? There is one line, near the top right, not selected. So I was hoping I could not clip and/or mask that but do so for the rest. If there is anymore information I can provide please let me know!

Hatching Issue

Hello,

As seen in the image above, I am trying to hatch this shape. Yet, anytime I try to click on it or hatch it in any way it says, "Element is not closed, can't be used." I am not sure why this may be, or what I can do in order to fix this hatching issue.

Thanks,

I was wondering if anyone would know how I could fix a simple level issue that I am having? My issue is that, on a new level I had created, called "Practice Basemap", I had added in some designs such as hatching, notes, etc. But now, whenever I try and move one of those drawings or edit them in any way, I can not since it isn't the current active level. Yet, anytime I try to change that on the Level Manager, the option to make the practice level active is greyed out. I'm not sure what I can do to change that, or any tips that you may have.

Thank you!

"Select all" Measuring Tool?

Hi, is there some sort of tool that I can use in where I can "select all" of a certain level? For example, for total measurements of something, is there a tool I can use that can measure the total distance of all one level, or do I need to manually measure each line that I have?

Bringing an element in front of a masking section.

Hi,

I was wondering if there was some sort of way that I could display something (text in this example) in front of a mask that I had placed? For this, the background image is from a raster and then I masked a corner of said image and then wanted to move a set of text I had onto that mask. The issue I am having is once I move it to the mask, then it displays it behind the mask, thus not being able to be seen. What I ideally want is some sort of way that I can bring this text forward, but also still have the mask there. If there is some such tool there, please let me know, and also let me know if in this situation I should be using clipping or masking? I am not quite sure what the difference between the two is, and what may be better for my situation.

Thank you so much for your assistance!

Ask A Question I

Ask a question in a forum.
