When we could expect fix for the annoying rotation glitch(pan-rotate-pan results in unexpected model flip) in vertical view when using Acute3D or Contextcapture 3D view?

I create models from aerial photos taken from a fixed wing or helicopter. Most of my projects are buildings or small rectangular areas and I normally fly in a circle and shoot overlapping oblique images focusing on a point in the centre of the area. I have some projects along roads (see image) that are long and narrow and wanted to get a better idea of the optimal route to fly and collect the images. I am also looking at the best way (flight diagram) to collect images to cover a large area, 15-20 city blocks. I use a hand held camera and can’t take nadir images only oblique Any suggestions appreciated

Hello,

I am beginner (student) with Context Capture. I cannot display 3Dmodel or 3Dmesh or any other product in 3Dview window "The 3D view is not available for this production format" Do you have idea why it can be? I would appreciate advise. I have only academic licence - can it be the problem?

What is the screen resolution requirement for CONNECT Edition? Is there a minimum requirement for 1080p in the vertical?

CONNECT Advisor Security Update installers V8i and CE

I noticed that the installers for V8i have the same filename for both the 32-bit and the 64-bit version.

I then looked at the CE installers and found the same thing (32-bit and the 64-bit version share the same filename).

Is this intentional?

Time zone for select server reports

Hi,

Can someone please tell me how to set the SelectServer Online site time zone to UTC / NZ time as I am based in New Zealand but the reports are still using the American Timezone. ie if it 11am where I am (NZ) then the report has 10pm as the run time. What am I missing here?

Surveying Mountain area with Phantom 4 Pro

Hello!

Could you please tell me how to make 3D model of the mountain (standing at the bottom) fully? I mean also to include mountain SIDE details (if looking from drone perspective view, trees cover side of the mountain), do I need to set to manual mode and take photos of the side? If so, how to do it, what interval, height and camera angel?

Please have a look at attached photos, where i demonstrate the example of "lost data" when i take photos only from above and try to make 3D model of the terrain. Here Mountain side view isnt visible to drone from above, because of the hovering trees above terrain.

Sometimes I need to make 3D model of very Narrow corridor of the river. Please have a look at these photos, How is it possible to do 3D model of this corridor? Currently I am working with Hydro Power Plant developing company in Georgia and they asked me to Make 3D model of river corridor (For Intake), but I do not know how its possible with such a narrow area. This is my main goal.

Making Oblique photos is no problem... But it doesn't cover most of the part because of trees.

I dont need to MAP THE WATER, i want to create 3D model AROUND THE WATER (ROCKS and GROUND). As you can see from those photos, water occupies very small area, majority are rocks and ground.

Any ideas how to achieve it? I have Phantom 4 Pro.
