OpenRoads SignCAD 2023 is now available

We are pleased to announce that OpenRoads SignCAD 2023 (23.00.00.151) is now available.

This is a significant release that includes a new look and feel while maintaining the long-established logic and functionality of past releases plus new native integration with the DGN format. This release is designed to be more efficient, provide functionality that was not previously available for all standards, and easier for users, agencies, and organizations to manage standards. OpenRoads SignCAD has also been rewritten as a 64-bit application based on modern programming platforms and databases providing the memory management, stability, and security expected in a modern application.

OpenSite/OpenRoads/OpenRail Designer 2022 Release 2

We are happy to announce that OpenSite/OpenRoads/OpenRail Designer 2022 Release 2 (10.12.01.59) is now available.

This release is a “major” version

It can be installed side-by-side with previous versions.
Data created with 2022 Release 2 will need to be downgraded in order to be opened with a previous release.

Civil Item Type Priority.json Syntax

In the Civil Item Type Priority.json file provided in the workspace, we have examples of the override set to none, first, and last. Is there an option to never pass the item type, and if so, what is the syntax?

Specifically, we are looking to mimic the previous release for certain tools, like the Single Offset Entire/Partial and Taper tools, where the item type does not come through from the reference element to the new element. Any of the three options provided will pass the item type through to the new element. This would be helpful for things like alignments, curbs, and lane lines, where we are offsetting different features that would usually have different item types.

[ORD 2019 R2] Workspace on a Network

Has anyone found a way to have a workspace on a network, but have the delivered workspace still located at its default location? Generally, we want users to access our workspace for its settings, but if they need to do a self paced training, we would also want to allow them to use the training and example workspaces. We would rather not put a full copy of them on the server, but only have files needed for our workspace located there.

I have a very good grasp of pre-ORD workspaces, but this is pretty much starting over from scratch.

In the past, I have managed to have PCF files that change folders of UCF files and UCF files that change folder of PCF files. I'm hoping I can select a Workspace and the list of worksets will change, and that some of these will be on the users C: Drive and others will be on the network.

Any ideas or tips will be greatly appreciated.

Civil Product Update 10.07

While installing ORD 10.09 I realized I still had the Civil Product Update 10.07.03.18 installed. This is the patch issued about a year ago which improved performance for opening large cell libraries.

Am I correct in assuming that the functionality of this patch is now rolled into the software and the patch is no longer needed?

Can't access training worksets and no access to RSS feeds.

I'm currently using ORD Connect Edition 2019 Release 2 Update 7 - Version 10.07.03.18. I can not access any RSS feeds and I do not have the the bentley training worksets on my computer. Is there anyway I can download those now? or do I need to have my company reinstall?

I have tried to download datasets from the training links but even in the training they state that the files were download with the install of ORD however I don't have those files.

I've read through other similar questions and it all just has someone pointing torward the READ ME which points to the LearnServer with points to the trainings that have datasets without the worksets being used in the sessions.

ORD - VPI annotation in profile

Hi, I want to draw a horizontal line between the beginning and end of two VPI points on a vertical curve with text annotation of the curve length and k value. Has anyone managed to do something of this sort. Please see image bellow of what I'm attempting to achieve. I produced the annotation bellow using SS2. But now need to produce it in ORD.

2018 Conference, Palm Springs

I attended the 2018 Conference at Palm Springs and Bentley said we would get an email with a link to download all the datasets from the conference. I have not received an email or been able to find it on the Learning Server. Does anyone have information on this?
