Plan and Profile Sheet - Renamed Alignment it is Based On - How to Restore?

Hello,

We made a plan and profile sheet from a geometry file that had a defined horizontal alignment and active vertical profile.

We later have to change the name of the geometry DGN to match CAD Standards.

In the plan and profile sheet, the Design model does not find the old file name. When we double click the red reference and re-attach the geometry DGN (this time with the correct name), the horizontal alignment is restored, but the vertical alignment cannot be found.

In the Drawing model for the profile, it looks like ORD is still looking for the old DGN name instead of the new one. How do we restore this? Or do we have to re-create the plan and profile sheet from scratch which would take a lot of time?

Why is Measure Length giving me an inaccurate length?

I'm running into an issue where my "Measure Length" tool is giving me an incorrect value. I am trying to measure a length of conduit, but it is giving me a length double of what the actual length is. I had it defined as an offset partial off the back of a sidewalk. Has anyone ever run into this before? It's an issue if I can't trust the measure tools.

Shifting/Adjusting Cross Section Named Boundaries to a Different Station

Hello,

I need to move a very specifically placed cross section named boundary from one station to another. Is there a way to reposition the named boundary back to a specific station and keep the same boundary width/height? I've found some videos on adjusting the offsets LT/RT at one station, but not changing the station of the named boundary entirely.

How to get Civil Labeler elevation to stay on a set terrain (instead of active terrain)?

Hello,

For the civil labeling, I want the elevation text in the tag to be shown from a specific terrain. Right now, it is just set to whatever terrain is active at the moment, so it switches from one to the other. How do I set this to just go off of one of them?

Shifting/Adjusting Plan View Named Boundaries

We keep running into issues when it comes to adjusting a previously placed named boundary to cover additional area after it has been placed and sheets cut. When we adjust the boundary, all of the text that has been placed in the drawing model shifts. It seems to be because the named boundary in the drawing model itself shifts. Is there a way to prevent this from occurring or otherwise mitigate this issue??

Everything in my Corridor has been deleted....?

I've hit a bit of a terrible situation here... I was working in my corridor file, made a change to one of the templates in the template library, picked the "Synchronize Template" tool, then selected my Corridor handle. ORD then crashed - upon re-opening the file, everything is gone except for the references. I'm puzzled because I've re-synced the template library numerous times today with the same file... the action I was taking immediately before the crash was updating the component display rules on a curb component. Has anyone ran into catastrophic data loss before and how to you mitigate that? We are working with ProjectWise Share, so we do not have automatic backups with our IT department. It's alarming that some normal ORD operations can suddenly just wipe out a lot of work for some unknown reason. Any tips or advice here would be appreciated.

What would be the best way to model a grading tie-down where the intercept surface is currently existing pavement that will be removed and re-graded? At the moment, my model is showing a cut slope that would tie into an existing on-ramp, but the on-ramp is being removed and the ground re-graded to drain. Should I create a new terrain in the area where the pavement will be removed? Thanks!

Draping an Aerial Drawing onto existing topo?

Hello,

I am wondering how to drape an aerial basemap onto an existing terrain model so that we can better visualize the proposed design in relation to what's in the field? We have an aerial basemap with raster images on a default level in the same coordinate system as the surveyed topo.

Horizontal/Vertical Temporary Dimension Lines not working

Has anyone run into the horizontal or vertical temporary dimensions not working in XS view while in a KM file? When I select the tool, I see a brief dimension pop on the screen and then immediately disappear. The error at the bottom of ORD says "No Template Drop Defined".
